School Board Special Meeting

The Highline Public Schools Board of Directors will hold a Board Special Meeting on Monday, September 16, 2024, 4:45-7:00 p.m . The first portion of this meeting, 4:45-6:00 p.m., will be a discussion and action on the following topics: Canceling the Regular Board Meeting on September 18, 2024, Personnel Report, Approval of the Special Education Department contracting with Yellow Wood Academy, and WSSDA General Assembly positions. The second portion of this special meeting, 6:00-7:00 p.m., will be an Executive Session for the purpose of reviewing the performance of a public employee. The Board will immediately recess into an executive session for 60 minutes pursuant to RCW 42.30.110.

All Highline students and their families are invited to take the next step towards their future at Future Ready Fest on Wednesday, September 25 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  This free, drop-in college and career resource fair is designed to guide high school students, especially seniors, through the next steps of their education and career journeys. Join over 60 colleges, career programs, and community partners offering personalized advice, one-on-one help in our Senior Lab, and hands-on workshops tailored just for you.   Get support setting up financial aid accounts, applying for scholarships, and completing college applications—everything you need to feel confident about your next steps.
